YOUNG REFUGEES FACE MANY CHALLENGES INCLUDING HOMESICKNESS, CULTURAL SHOCK, LACK OF EMPLOYMENT, RACISM AND DISCRIMINATION.

These can lead them become disengaged and socially isolated, with long-term consequences for their success and wellbeing. For these young people, the Arts can provide a means to express repressed emotions, confront painful memories and transcend daily hardship.
